jab Government has decided to s
hift over 700 primary government schools located in Rawalpi
ndi Division to s
olar energy.
The Pun
jab Government has also directed the district education authority Rawalpi
ndi Division to prepare a list of education institutions, which are lacking the facility of electricity.
According to sources, around 380 primary schools of Rawalpi
ndi Division are lacking the electricity facility. The Pun
jab Government has directed the authority to install s
olar energy system in those schools at urgent basis.
The provincial education department has directed the authority to shift the schools located in rural areas of Kotli Sattain, Kahuta, Murree, Taxila, Kalar Syedain and Gujar Khan to s
olar energy.
The Government schools would be shifted to s
olar energy in different phases; while in the first phase over 700 primary schoo
ls in Rawalpi
ndi Division would be shifted.
