ISLAMABAD: Chief of Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa visited Awaran in Balochistan on Saturday. He was briefed about the security situation and community assistance initiatives taken by the army and Frontier Corps in southern Balochistan.
He was briefed that almost 150,000 individuals have benefitted from medical initiative
s including an active partnership with civil
administration to enhance the capacity of DHQ Awaran. Two hundred students from Awaran are also being provided free education with boarding and lodging by the army and FC. A new school has also been recently
established by FC Balochistan.
The army chief lauded efforts of army, FC and other law enforcement agencies which have resulted into improved security and law and order situation. He said that we shall cont
inue to facilitate development efforts in Balochistan.
Later the army chief also met local
elders and notables who appreciated Pakistan Army’s efforts for security and development in the area. He acknowledged and thanked the locals for their support to security forces.
