FAISALABAD: The government has deci
ded to constitute scrutiny committees for checking of transport company vehicles at district level. A spokesman for the local administration an
nounced on Monday that the district collector would work as chairman of the scrutiny committee.
The committee will check the sec
urity system of transport companies, and
the provision of physical sec
urity to the passengers. It will also check the lighting system, communication system, rescue facilities and installation of sec
urity gadgets in vehicles as well as at transport stands. The scrutiny committee would also compile a comprehensive report and send it to the Provincial Home Department for further action, for improvement in sec
urity in transport companies, the spokesman added.
